Body Painting Expo

I was very fortunate to be chosen as one of the photographers to shoot at the Body Painting Expo weekend recently. "We've had a lot of great Photographers register their interest in competing at the Body Painting Expo. We're please to inform you that you are 1 of the top 10 Photographers who will have a Special Access Pass to the Artist & Photographer-only Areas".

Ten photographers and lots of very talented artists and fantastic models all under the one roof. It was an action packed, vibrant and exciting weekend.

There was a competition amongst the ten photographers and I made it to the Top 5 so this was a bonus for me. What a weekend!

First Place in Queensland National Circuit

This Photo was awarded FIRST PLACE in the Queensland National Circuit in the category of "Photo Travel". It will be shown at The Annual Conference of the Australian Photographic Society (APSCON 2010) which is in Roma September, 2010. Three of my other images received awards as well. Very happy ;-)

Best of Show Gold Medal Award

I was absolutely thrilled to learn that my image titled "The Cold Sea" won BEST OF SHOW GOLD MEDAL in the International Photographic German Open Circuit 2010. Email received 11th April 2010.

Hidden Distress

I won 3 Awards at the PSQ (Photographic Society of Queensland) Annual Photographic Competition with this image.
1. Silver Medallion ALTERED REALITY Large Mono Print
2. Gold Medallion for the Champion Monochrome Print
3. The Chris Van Der Held Shield for the Monochrome Print of the Year (CREATIVE).The image I submitted was called "HIDDEN DISTRESS".

Portraiture. I enjoy the creative, the different, the unexpected, the look, the emotion, the connection is the most important...
I am very keen to do more of this type of "designer portraiture" :-)
